Hiring a Lawyer Can Help You Recover More Money!

Roxanne Martinez was driving when an SUV hit her car, knocking her out. The other driver, Michelle LaFlamme, got a ticket and had Allstate auto insurance.

Ms. Martinez had approximately $25,000 worth of medical bills and lost wages. Allstate offered her $15,000. So she got a lawyer.

Then Allstate paid her $187,506. This included money for pain and suffering, damage to her
car, and other expenses.

Receive Full Compensation After a Failure to Diagnose Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension

Around the end of the second trimester and the beginning of the third trimester, the expectant mother might develop high blood pressure and excrete protein in her urine.  These are symptoms of a condition called pre-eclampsia.  With this condition, there are mild and severe subconditions.  If the pre-eclampsia is relatively mild, then bed rest, reducing salt intake, and drinking eight glasses of water per day might help with carrying the fetus to term.

However, if the pre-eclampsia is severe, then more stringent measures may be required.  Depending on the length of the pregnancy to date, there are two main options.  If the pregnancy has already lasted at least 32 weeks, then an early delivery might be best, possibly with a C-section.

On the other hand, if the pregnancy has not yet lasted for at least 32 weeks, then it is generally preferable to wait, in order to protect the health of the fetus.  When this happens, severe pre-eclampsia can turn into eclampsia, which is pre-eclampsia with seizures, the risk of a coma, and death.  The doctor might prescribe an anticonvusant like magnesium sulfate, which is safe for both the fetus and the expectant mother.  In addition, the doctor may prescribe medication that will lower blood pressure.

Get the Money You Need and Deserve

When gynecologists and obstetricians fail to recognize the signs of pre-eclampsia or eclampsia, or if they fail to provide timely and proper treatment, then the lives of the fetus and the expectant mother are at risk!  If you suspect that there may be medical malpractice, then you need to consult with an experienced lawyer who, along with a team of independent medical experts, will help you protect your legal rights.  You may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses, loss of future earnings, and pain and suffering!
